Top-level sport is joining forces to send a clear message: gender violence cannot and must not be ignored. For this reason, from April 7th to 12th, the Italian Sports Center – Milan Committee is promoting the social media campaign “Fuori Rosa: la violenza di genere non si richiama” (Outside the Club: Gender Violence Is Not Called Up), a week of awareness-raising aimed at the Committee’s over 650 sports clubs, as well as the entire sporting world.

Giving a face and voice to the campaign is a video featuring some of the leading figures in Serie A sports: Damiano Catania and Tommaso Ichino (Allianz Powervolley Milano), Lavinia Tornaghi (AC Milan Women), Haley Bugeja (Inter Women), and Giampaolo Ricci (Olimpia Milano). Different disciplines, one message: sport cannot remain silent.

“Every day, on our fields and in our gyms, we educate young people about life’s values ​​through sport,” explains Massimo Achini, President of CSI Milano and Vice President of Allianz Powervolley Milano. “Gender-based violence affects everyone, and preventing and combating it is our responsibility. With “Fuori Rosa,” we want to reiterate that sport cannot be excluded: it must be an active part of a daily awareness-raising process, sending a clear, concrete, and shared message.”
