Setter Tommaso De Santis has been called up to the U18 National Team: from Monday, June 15th to Tuesday, June 23rd, he will train with the Azzurri in Camigliatello Silano, in the province of Cosenza.

Tommaso De Santis, a seventeen-year-old setter, has been called up, along with seventeen other athletes, at the recommendation of Technical Director and Head Coach Vincenzo Fanizza, to participate in a training camp in preparation for the European Under-18 Men’s Championship, scheduled for July 7th to 18th in Porto San Giorgio and Cisterna di Latina.

Filippo Pugnalini, a scout for Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, is also part of the U18 National Team coaching staff.

Tommaso De Santis, born in 2009, a Tuscan setter, is in his first season at Piacenza. Hailing from Arezzo, he won a Serie C championship in Tuscany, participated in the Tuscan regional selections, and a couple of months ago, he took part in a training camp in Cellatica (Brescia) at the recommendation of Emanuele Sbravati, Head of Beach Volleyball Selection Processes. This season, he has been called up to the first team competing in the SuperLega championship twice, against Modena and Cuneo.

The coaching staff for the Under 18 men’s team will consist of Vincenzo Fanizza (Technical Director and Head Coach), Mario Di Pietro (Coach), Giorgio Sabbadin (Coach), Filippo Pugnalini (Scout), Riccardo Leone (Physiotherapist), Simone Mencaccini (Athletic Trainer), Matteo Jaafar (Doctor), and Manuel Marigliano (Team Manager).
