There are champions who leave their mark, and others who become a club’s legacy. Marko Podrascanin belongs to the latter category. His love for Cucine Lube Civitanova has made him a true red and white player at heart.
At the end of an extraordinary career, the Serbian middle blocker is saying goodbye to volleyball, leaving an indelible mark on the history of Lube Volley. A club that welcomed him at a very young age and watched him grow, win, lead his teammates, and keep a promise. His return home brought the circle full circle and quickly reestablished that special, never-ending connection with the red and white fans.
From his seasons in Macerata, Treia, and Civitanova to his return to the Marche region, the bond between Marko and Lube went beyond sporting achievements. It was a relationship built over time through victories, sacrifices, epic battles on the court, and emotions shared with generations of supporters.
In the red and white, Potke won major titles, playing a key role in the growth of teams to the highest levels thanks to his combination of character, leadership, leadership skills, and his infectious energy.
A true icon, he rode the crest of a wave for nearly twenty years, consistently at the pinnacle of national and international volleyball. He made more than six hundred appearances in the Italian top division, achieved excellent successes with Perugia and Trento, achieved record numbers with the Serbian national team, two European titles, and a collection of trophies won on the world’s most prestigious courts. All this was enriched by over twenty individual awards along the way.
Today, Lube Volley bids farewell to the athlete and pays tribute to the man who, with professionalism, passion, and a sense of belonging, contributed to writing some of the finest pages in culinary history.

“I fell in love with the wonderful world of volleyball at the age of 13. It was love at first sight after watching the Serbian national team win the Sydney Olympics. The call of volleyball drew me to the net with my best friends, and my dream from the very beginning was to play in Italy. The opportunity of a lifetime came at the age of 20 with Lube. I’m grateful to the red and white club: here I improved, learned to navigate this world, and acquired the qualities needed to be part of a winning team at all levels. I also had golden experiences in Perugia and Trento.”
