Banca Macerata Fisiomed’s first signing for the new season has already been named: Davide Diaferia. The young talent from Campania, born in 2004 and standing 200 cm tall, has renewed his contract with the Marche club and will continue to wear the number 12 jersey in the 2026/2027 Credem Banca Serie A2 championship.
For Davide, it will be a season marked by continuity, but also change. The change in position undertaken last year will be confirmed: he will return to the center of the net, enthusiastically embracing a new challenge. The player has already demonstrated great adaptability and is open about his confidence: “I’m very happy with the renewal and, first and foremost, I thank the club for their trust. I’m sure I’ll be able to perform as I did in the season just ended.”
Dado also reiterated that he never had any doubts about staying in Macerata, a sign of his already strong bond with the red and whites.
Having grown up playing volleyball in Campania, Diaferia took his first steps in Ottaviano before joining the youth academy of Sir Perugia, one of the most prestigious clubs in Italy. He subsequently continued his career at Fenice Roma in Serie B, before taking on a Serie A3 experience with Campobasso, his last stop before arriving in the Marche region.
In Macerata, starting as an opposite hitter and then reinventing himself as a middle blocker, Davide gradually carved out a key role for himself, a highly reliable member of the starting six. His performances fully convinced Coach Giannini, who decided to continue his commitment to him for the future.
