Domotek Volley literally flew to a 1-1 draw in the playoff finals, which secured promotion to Serie A2. After losing Game 1, they fought back, fiercely, in the second act against the mighty Conad Reggio Emilia, with another textbook team performance, under the direction of former Italian and French champion Davide Saitta. The setter, once again an exceptional performer, spoke immediately after the match, sharing his emotions and insights.
“The story continues, this sporting fairytale continues,” Saitta began, his face still marked by fatigue and emotion. “Something special is being written here.”
The athlete, who built his team’s game on the court thanks to Coach Polimeni’s guidance, did not hide the emotional charge he felt before the match. “I was excited today and focused, as in any category. There is no category; finals are finals, they must be played for what they are.” A special thought goes to the crowd, the absolute star of the evening. “The crowd was fantastic today; they were truly our extra man.
