A Sunday to remember, a cup raised to the sky, and an entire city dreaming with incredible numbers. Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria made history by winning the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A3, and among the key players in this triumph was Palmi-born libero Saverio De Santis. On the final day, the libero outdid himself again, earning the MVP award in the tough match against Lecce, sealing the Amaranto’s first-place standings.
After the match, his words conveyed the pride of someone who has just realized a dream.
“This cup is the fruit of our labor.”
De Santis began, cup in hand, voice full of emotion: “This is the fruit of our labor, we can say. We are proud to have brought the first cup to Reggio, especially from a men’s volleyball team. It’s a source of pride, especially for me, as a native of Reggio.”
