An intriguing tug-of-war between Conad Reggio Emilia and Domotek Reggio Calabria, the dominant teams in the third national division so far this season. After competing for the Coppa Italia, a trophy the Calabrian side won in Belluno against the Emilian team after a comeback from 0-2 to 3-2, the two Serie A3 group winners Credem Banca will meet again on Saturday for their second ever face-off. As the dominant team in the White Group and the highest-placed team, Conad benefits from home-field advantage in Game 1, Game 3, and the potential Game 5, while the matchup moves to Calabria for Game 2 and the potential Game 4. The hosts have nine A2 playoff appearances, winning them in 2021/22, while they are facing the A3 Promotion Playoff for the first time. Last season, the visitors exited the Serie A3 playoff semifinal at the hands of Acqui Terme, and this year they are playing for their first chance at promotion to Serie A2 Credem Banca. On one hand, Riccardo Mian is 28 points shy of 1,500 in Serie A3, while Enrico Lazzaretto is 18 points shy of 300 in the playoffs and 27 points shy of 3,000 in his career.
