Atlantide Pallavolo Brescia continues to focus on its youth team and has confirmed young setter Pietro Ghirardi for the 2026/27 season.

Born in 2005 and 196 cm tall, Ghirardi is a Brescia native who has developed within the youth sector and is now a regular in the Serie A2 team. His journey began at a very young age with Atlantide and continued through significant experiences that have accompanied his technical and personal growth.

In 2021/22, the Brescian setter played a season in Serie B with Valtrompia Volley, a valuable experience for him to “gain experience” in a senior league and learn about different rhythms and responsibilities. He subsequently returned to Atlantide, dividing his time between the Under-19, Serie C, and Serie A2 teams, until his permanent promotion to the first team as assistant to Tiberti in the 2023/24 season.

In the 2024-25 season, Ghirardi further gained experience in the Serie A2 championship with a stint at Porto Viro, later returning to Brescia with even greater confidence and maturity.

Despite his young age, Pietro has already won the Coppa Italia and the Serie A2 Super Cup with the white-and-blues in the 2023-24 season.

These are the words of the Brescian setter after his confirmation:

“First of all, I want to thank Coach Zambonardi for the trust he has placed in me once again. Wearing the jersey of my hometown team is always a great honor.

I want to continue improving to become an increasingly complete and reliable player.

A2 is a very competitive league; there are strong and well-equipped teams aiming for promotion, and for this reason, we know it will take hard work, paying attention to detail and improving the quality of our play. We are a young but ambitious team, and I’m sure that, thanks also to the help of the entire staff, we will have a good season, striving to achieve as many successes as possible.

Forza Brescia! Always!”
