Another success, another confirmation. Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria continues its impressive run in the league, also defeating Green Volley Galatone in a match that, as coach Antonio Polimeni explained, “was far from a given.”
Following the Christmas break and with the race for the top spots in the standings becoming increasingly exciting, the Amaranth coach takes stock, focusing on the match, the team’s spirit, and the next highly anticipated Coppa Italia match, scheduled for Saturday at 8:00 pm at home, in a thrilling double-header against Campobasso.
With Galatone?
It was definitely a battle, especially for three-quarters of each set. We knew Galatone would play at a very high level in the early stages; that’s one of their characteristics.
Just as we knew that, in recent performances, they tended to give away something towards the end. We had to take advantage of that, and that’s what happened. We played well, but of course we can and must do better. We’re happy with the result, especially after the break and against a team that has strengthened. We’re working with confidence to improve.
