A.S. Volley Lube announces that it has reached an agreement for the end of the season with spiker Hamza Hfaiedh, a Tunisian national born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2002. Standing 194 cm tall, the new red and white player grew up with Étoile Sportive du Sahel, a Tunisian championship team where he played from 2020/21 to the present, with a stint in the French Serie B at Grand Nancy Volley-Ball in 2022/23. This move will be instrumental in the player’s development, having been called up to the 2025 World Championships by Camillo Placì’s Tunisia and named best spiker of the 2025/26 Arab Champions Cup, a competition in which he won silver. Hfaiedh’s arrival fills the gap left by the departure of Iranian spiker Poriya Hossein Khanzadeh during the season. The newcomer, who will wear the number 13 jersey in the Marche region, also boasts other notable finishes, including two silver medals in the National Cup and a silver medal in the Tunisian Super Cup. The Tunisian spiker is already in Civitanova, training with the Italian vice-champion team.

Spiker Hamza Hfaiedh: “I’m happy and honored to join a great club like Lube. Playing for this team in Italy is a dream come true, and to make it even better, we need a fantastic second half of the season. I’ll do my best to help the club. I’ve watched so many matches on TV; Lube has great potential, and I’m optimistic about our chances of competing with anyone. The level of the Italian league is very high, and I feel ready to give it my all, both in the gym and in matches if I’m needed. I gained a lot of experience from my time in France, and I want to do the same in Civitanova. I admire those who excel, and Alex is definitely one of the best in the world. I’m totally focused on volleyball; my life is filled with training and matches. In my spare time, I’ve become a huge TV series fan!”
