March, a month of irrevocable verdicts in volleyball. A good or “so-so” season can become excellent, excellent, unforgettable. The first crossroads for Allianz Milano takes place next week with the first leg of the Challenge semifinal, Wednesday evening at 8:30 pm at the Allianz Cloud against the Turkish team Altekma Sk Izmir; on Sunday, March 8th, Game 1 of the SuperLega Credem Banca Scudetto Playoff quarterfinals at 6 pm against Rana Verona at the Pala Agsm Aim. Rana is the team that has already won the Coppa Italia; the Supercoppa is played this weekend. Allianz Milano will be called upon to show its best volleyball to win at least once in Veneto, extend the series and go all out in front of its fans, already ready to be the extra man on the court. “You think about one game at a time” is the mantra that coach Roberto Piazza has brought to the Allianz Milano locker room in recent years. So, having forgotten the so far “fatal Verona” (they eliminated Allianz from the Coppa Italia and won twice in the regular season), let’s focus on the European Cup, the first event on the calendar.
