Tinet Prata’s second international signing comes from Russia. The 28-year-old opposite hitter, Kirill Klets, began his professional volleyball career in the youth academy of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk. He subsequently played on loan for the 2017/18 season with Bulgarian side Montana, and in 2018/19 he played for Tirol Haching, winning a bronze medal in the German championship. He subsequently played for Yenisey Krasnoyarsk (2019-2022), Kuzbass Kemerovo (2022-23), and finally Zenit Kazan (2023-2025), where he became Russian champion twice and won one Russian Cup and one Russian Super Cup. At international level, he has made three official appearances for the Russian national team. He made his debut in the 2019 Volleyball Nations League. Last year, he moved to Japan to play for Toray Arrows Shinzuoka, where he scored 635 points this season, remaining at the top of the scoring charts for a long time and even approaching 50 points in a single game. A very physical player, standing 210 centimeters tall, he decided to test himself in the Italian Super League to further develop his game.
“The Super League,” he said upon signing for the yellow-blue team, “is very strong and many of the best players in the world play there. I wanted to test my skills in this league, and for that, I can only thank Tinet Prata for the opportunity they gave me. My friend Micah Christenson, with whom I played for two years in Kazan and who is now in Verona and whom I admire greatly, spoke highly of Italy, and I can’t wait to play there.”
