Sir Susa Scai Perugia’s opposite hitter arrives from the Czech Republic, ready to make his debut in the Italian championship.
Standing 197 cm tall and turning 23 in January, he is proud of Perugia’s call, which he sees as a tremendous opportunity for growth: “It’s a tremendous honor for me to join a club like Perugia. It’s really hard to put into words what it means to me. Not many Czech players have the opportunity to play in Italy, and for this very reason, I appreciate this call even more.”
The young opposite hitter has spent seven seasons in Prague, including the last four consecutive seasons (starting in 2022/23) with the first team, where he has established himself as one of the most promising talents in Czech volleyball. With VK Lvi Praha, he won the Czech Cup twice and the Czech Extraliga twice.
Kollátor is no stranger to Pian di Massiano: this season, the Block Devils met the Czech club in the Champions League group stage, and “Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia – VK Lvi Praha” was the opening match of the season, played on December 10th at PalaBarton. In that match, won by the Block Devils 3-1, Kollátor proved himself as the day’s top scorer with impressive numbers: 20 points, one ace, and a 61% attack efficiency rate.
“I’d say the Italian league is one of the best in the world, if not the best overall. I’ve had the opportunity to play against Italian teams in the past, and each time I’ve seen confirmation of their extremely high level.”
