In the same location, the Hall of Statues of the Municipality, Filippo Lanza once again represented Cisterna Volley: where a meeting for schools on the Community Educational Pact took place on Wednesday, this morning saw the final of the fifth edition of the Invictus School Sports Literary Award, organized by the Lab DFG publishing house, with the support of the Municipality of Cisterna, the Lazio Region, and the Minister for Sport and Youth. An event that embraces school, sport, and its values. Values that the Cisterna Volley spiker once again placed at the center of his speech, starting with how difficulties should be faced.

In sport, as in life, there are difficult moments, as well as positive and happy ones, and they must be faced in the same way. I’ve won many matches in my career, but perhaps I’ve lost even more. The culture of defeat is important because it helps you grow, and then win: overcoming difficult moments leads to success. This year, we had a long, difficult period, where we weren’t getting results: we were good at managing those moments without further complicating our lives, knowing we would emerge from that situation. That’s what happened, and we achieved survival. Playing in the SuperLega Volleyball League is no small feat; it should be a source of pride for you and your city,” Filippo Lanza told the students of the Campus M. Ramadù high schools in Cisterna who were present in the room. “I feel good here and I’m happy to be able to play for these colors again next season.”

Filippo Lanza, then, prompted by Giovanni Di Giorgi (publisher Lab DFG), spoke about the Azzurri: “In any sport, the national team represents the pinnacle of excellence. Wearing the blue jersey is the dream of every young player who aims to play at the highest level. I wore the Italian national team for 11 years, had the satisfaction of wearing an Olympic medal, and the best memories of my career are tied to the blue jersey. Representing your country around the world means making your dreams come true.”
