Great enthusiasm for Lorenzo Sala’s reappointment with the white-and-blues during the renewal press conference held this afternoon at the Cuneo Lube headquarters in Tarantasca.
The Cuneo club and the 2002-born opposite hitter from Modena, with mutual trust and respect, have extended their partnership after a season in which there were excellent signs, despite some bad luck with injuries.
Sports Director Paolo Brugiafreddo commented on Lorenzo’s confirmation: “We are very pleased with Lorenzo’s confirmation. We began a journey with him last year where we knew he was a young man with potential, which perhaps he wasn’t always able to express consistently during the past season. However, despite some setbacks due to injuries, he has absolutely demonstrated his value, showing that he can compete in the division and play a very important role. For us, he is a fundamental element because he brings us quality, especially in training, but we know he can be a very valid and credible alternative should the need arise, or perhaps in certain specific tactical situations.” We are therefore very happy, I repeat, to have renewed our agreement with him. He is a boy we are happy to have “adopted” in Cuneo, because we deeply believe he has all the qualities to contribute to the team and the club, to which he is demonstrating a special attachment.
Sala commented with equal enthusiasm on his renewal: “I am truly happy to remain in Cuneo, honored by the mutual trust that has grown over the course of the year; it was by no means a given that a club newly promoted to the SuperLega would place its trust in a player like me, coming from Serie A2. I am happy and aware of the season to come and the sacrifices we will have to make. We are already pushing hard during this month of postseason training. I am happy to meet this new group and I hope we can achieve, first the basic task, and then something great for Cuneo because they deserve it.”
A statement that alone demonstrates how special, sensitive, and attached he is to Cuneo.
The season ticket campaign, after the first two promotional phases, from May 18th until the start of the 2026/2027 regular season will remain unchanged with the last phase called LAST and available on Liveticket.it or in person at “Energia Pulita” in c.so Nizza in Cuneo.
