Avimec Modica resumes training today with a weight room session ahead of next Sunday’s tough home game, when Viridex Sabaudia will visit coach Enzo Distefano’s white and blues at the PalaRizza.
Coach Enzo Distefano analyzed the Tricase match with a cool head:
“The victory against Lecce,” stated the Avimec Modica coach, “is very important because it comes after the defeats against Reggio Calabria and Castellana and brings back smiles and greater enthusiasm, but above all it boosts morale. Playing in Tricase against Lecce has always been extremely difficult, and taking two points away this year against the Salento team, who are well equipped—and the arrival of opposite hitter Santangelo confirms this—takes on even more significance. It was a match of two sides,” he continued, “because, after masterfully winning the first two sets without great difficulty, we transformed ourselves in the third and fourth sets, but Lecce put their own spin on it with a great reaction of pride that allowed them to come back two sets and postpone any decision to a tie break. However, I must say that the approach to the match and the determination shown in the fifth set were important.”
