Avimec Modica has secured the services of highly experienced spiker Rocco Panciocco.
Born in 1999, originally from Rome, the new blue-and-white “firebrand” stands 200 centimeters tall. Last season, the Roman athlete, who grew up in the Santa Monica youth system, played in his home region for Viridex Sabaudia (A3). He also played in the Third National League for Rinascita Lagonegro, but the new blue-and-white player has also played in the A2 league with Club Italia Roma, Tuscania, Materdomini Castellana, Emma Villas Aubay Siena, Cave del Sole Lagonegro, Consar Ravenna, and Abba Pineto.
A remarkable resume, therefore, makes Rocco Panciocco one of the most interesting prospects on the national scene, allowing coach Enzo Distefano’s squad to raise the technical level and physicality of the team, which is aiming to be a leading player in the championship.
“I’m very happy to join an organization like Avimec Modica,” says Rocco Panciocco, “because Modica is a club that, year after year, is proving to be one of the most important teams in Serie A3. I’m coming to Modica with great enthusiasm and,” he continues, “a great desire to get involved. I’ll give my all every day in the gym to help the team achieve its goals and to continue growing both personally and as a team. I’m confident that with hard work, commitment, and the right amount of determination,” concludes the new blue-and-white spiker, “we can achieve important goals, especially with such a vibrant fan base as Modica’s. I can’t wait to meet the fans and experience the atmosphere at PalaRizza.”
