It’s rare these days that players identify with a specific jersey, season after season. Players like Matteo Mozzato. Yes, the Treviso-born middle blocker will continue to be a key figure in Belluno Volley. He’ll be playing his sixth consecutive season in the blue-and-whites: the first in Serie A2, following the club’s historic return to the second division.

CONFIDENCE – Since the Rhinos first entered the Serie A volleyball scene, Mozzato has been there. And he’s been there every step of the way: from the first matches in Serie A3 to the playoff finals, all the way to the Coppa Italia semifinals. A journey that has transformed him into a true icon, as well as a key figure in the locker room: “Belluno has become a second home,” the middle blocker explains. “The decision to continue came naturally, because I feel like I’m part of something important. Over the years, I’ve seen the project evolve and have always felt the trust of the club, the staff, my teammates, and the fans. When you find an environment that allows you to grow as an athlete and as a person, it’s not difficult to choose to stay.” This confirms a deep bond with an environment in which Matteo has matured in every aspect. And which he has helped to elevate, thanks to his reliability, professionalism, and ability to put “we” before “I.”
