The 2026 season for the world-champion men’s national team officially kicks off in Rome, and two athletes from Sonepar Padova will be among the stars of the first Italian training camp. Head coach Ferdinando De Giorgi has called up Mattia Orioli and Andrea Truocchio for the training camp scheduled for Monday, May 11th, to Sunday, May 17th, at the “Giulio Onesti” Olympic Training Center in Acqua Acetosa.
A week of work to inaugurate the new path for the Italian team, who will gather in the capital to warm up for the first friendlies and international matches of the summer season.
The list of players called up includes: Alessandro Bovolenta, Francesco Comparoni, Domenico Pace, Paolo Porro (You Energy Volley); Alessandro Fanizza, Tommaso Guzzo (Cisterna Volley); Tommaso Ichino (Powervolley Milano); Giulio Magalini, Marco Pellacani (M.& G. Scuola Pallavolo); Leandro Aussibio Mosca (Volley Milano); Mattia Orioli, Andrea Truocchio (Sonepar Padova); Kamil Rychlicki (ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle); Francesco Romano Sani, Matteo Staforini (Verona Volley).
