Gas Sales Bluenergy Sitting Volley will be a key player in the Scudetto Final Four, to be played at the end of May. Joining the red and whites are SD Fermana, winner of Group B, I Santi Ortopedie Nola, winner of Group C, and the best second-place team based on the head-to-head standings among the three groups.
The red and whites, playing in Sesto San Giovanni on the fifth day of the championship, defeated SV 2001 Garlasco 3-1 in their first match (25-22, 23-25, 25-13, 25-17) and then, in the afternoon match, came from behind to defeat Acqua S. Bernardo Cuneo SV in a tiebreak (25-9, 25-17, 21-25, 13-25, 7-15). Results that allowed them to finish first in Group A with 21 points, the result of seven wins and only one loss, and to secure a spot in the championship Final Four, which will decide the Italian title.
The red and whites also imposed pace, intensity, and technical and tactical quality in the match against Garlasco in Sesto San Giovanni, winning the match without any particular problems. In the match against Cuneo, after losing the first two sets, they turned the tables, defeating their opponents in a decisive tiebreaker.
The goal now is to continue their growth and continue to compete at the highest levels of national sitting volleyball, including in the Final Four Scudetto, which was the club’s goal at the start of the season.
Giovanni Marani (Head Coach): “It was the final match of the A1 sitting volleyball championship, an important milestone in our journey. Against Garlasco, we started a bit slow, but the team responded with great heart and determination, managing to win the match 3-1. I want to emphasize the fundamental contribution of the boys who came off the bench, who provided energy and quality in key moments.
