Some reach Serie A2 after having already played on important stages. And others, however, conquer every step with patience, hard work, and consistency. Andrea Polacco belongs to the second category. And he’s the player chosen by Belluno Volley to complete the opposite hitter duo. He’s the eighth incoming player for the club led by President Da Rold.
PATH – Standing two meters tall, Polacco was born on March 20, 2003, and will be enjoying his first experience in the second national division. This milestone was achieved through constant growth, starting with Unitrento Volley, where he stayed for two seasons. He subsequently chose to gain further experience in Serie B, first with Bassano and, last season, with Volley Veneto Bardolino.
OPPORTUNITY – Now the Trento-born opposite hitter has a great opportunity to compete in a higher-level division. A significant leap, coming at the right time in his career: “I’ve always heard great things about this club; they’re very organized and serious,” he says. When I heard there was a chance to join Belluno, I didn’t think twice. They’ve been at the top of Serie A3 for years: I’m very happy that they’ve finally made it to Serie A2.”
COMPLEMENTARY PLAYERS – And so, with Andrea Baldi, a pair of opposites is taking shape, combining experience, enthusiasm, and a desire to raise the bar: “I’m a charismatic player, I always try to convey the right energy and the right attitude to the team,” he adds. “Offense and defense are the two fundamentals in which I feel most confident, and I’ll try to contribute to them. Off the pitch? Cooking and sports in general are my main interests. I enjoy experimenting with new recipes and discovering new flavors to then recreate them at home. I also love the mountains: it will be a privilege to admire the renowned Belluno Dolomites.”
