This morning, the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Final Four was officially presented in the Emilia-Romagna Region press room in Bologna. The tournament will take place at the Unipol Arena in Bologna over the weekend of February 7 and 8, 2026. The Final on Sunday, February 8, which will be broadcast live on Rai Sport at 6:00 PM, is a sold-out event, with the splendid setting of the Bologna arena providing the backdrop for what promises to be a spectacular match.
The first Semifinal, on Saturday, February 7 at 3:30 PM, will see Itas Trentino face Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, while at 6:00 PM the teams will face Rana Verona and Sir Susa Scai Perugia.
Massimo Righi (President of the Serie A Volleyball League): “This is our tenth visit to Bologna: out of 48 editions, having hosted ten here is a great sign. The Emilian capital thus confirms its position as a city with a strong focus on volleyball. This year, more fans and guests from all over the world will be coming here than ever before. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate fifteen years of sponsorship with Del Monte®, demonstrating the evolution we have achieved. Only a few hundred tickets remained on Saturday, while Sunday is sold out.”
Fabio Fistetto (CEO of Lega Pallavolo Serie A): “Athletes, guests, and fans: the right ingredients for a Final Four that promises to be spectacular. Seeing the various fan bases strolling through Bologna’s city center is something beautiful and unexpected. A top-notch television production for the Final Four, with ten dedicated cameras. Last but not least, I would give due prominence to the clubs.
Roberta Frisoni (Emilia-Romagna Regional Councilor for Tourism, Commerce, and Sport): “The Del Monte® Coppa Italia is a well-established event, among the most prestigious and iconic in the regional sporting calendar. The 2026 Final Four confirms itself as more than just a great competitive spectacle. Emilia-Romagna also claims a leading role thanks to a top-level volleyball tradition, with numerous teams competing in the top divisions in both men’s and women’s volleyball, and which in 2026 will also see the region host a group stage of the European Volleyball Championship. This edition will also be an opportunity for many Emilia-Romagna residents to cheer on our Piacenza team as they take part in this great challenge!
Massimo Sala (FIPAV Vice President and Special Commissioner of the FIPAV Emilia-Romagna Regional Committee): “One Cup, four teams, three returning teams and one newcomer: the tournament is the first major event of the season, leading to the Super Cup and the playoffs to decide the Scudetto. The championship, the most beautiful in the world, allows us to have athletes of a certain caliber; I’m pleased to know that the fans responded well. During the same two days, the Del Monte® Coppa Italia dei Territori is being held, a major event involving eight regional committees.
Roberta Li Calzi (Councilor for Sport and Budget of the City of Bologna): “Bologna is a leading player every year: thanks to all the stakeholders who make these events possible. Bologna and Emilia-Romagna are regions that always respond, even when in past editions there were no teams from the region. A guarantee of closeness, affection, and passion. Today is a special day: we’re opening a new gym in Bologna, at Arcoveggio, dedicated to volleyball and rhythmic gymnastics. Sports venues are undoubtedly an important building block for sport, the result of hard work and responsive communities.
Matteo Ruggeri (Mayor of Casalecchio di Reno): “It’s a great pleasure to host one of the world’s most anticipated volleyball events, the Del Monte® Coppa Italia SuperLega, in Casalecchio di Reno. Casalecchio is a city of sport, thanks in part to the presence of numerous sports clubs, disciplines, and facilities. Here, sport is a value, not only because sport is healthy, but above all for its ability to include, unite, and teach commitment and fair play. We invite all spectators to seize the opportunity to visit our city. From February 5th to 8th, a truly evocative exhibition dedicated to the unforgettable Maestro Luciano Pavarotti will be open at the Laura Betti municipal theater, featuring works created by him or dedicated to him by great artists.
Matteo Piano: “I have a strong bond with Bologna, also from a sporting perspective; I won my first Coppa Italia here. Knowing that this city has a vibrant heart for volleyball is wonderful. I’m delighted that the Lega Pallavolo Serie A has chosen to embark on a new narrative journey. The format we launched in recent days—available on the League’s social media—has helped us understand that we’re close.
