After 26 exciting and balanced regular season games, it’s playoff time for the A2 league. The race for the sole spot in the 2026/27 SuperLega season begins tomorrow, Sunday, April 12, with Game 1 of the quarterfinals. For the fourth consecutive year, in as many appearances, Consar Ravenna is among the contenders, finishing the championship in fourth place with 52 points and a record of 17 wins and nine losses. This same record was achieved in the 2023/24 season, while the following season saw them finish in third place with 53 points and a record of 20 wins and six losses. Tomorrow at 6:00 PM at the Pala De Andrè, Goi and his teammates will face Virtus Aversa, fifth with 45 points, a position mirroring last year’s (free live coverage on DAZN and delayed Tuesday the 14th at 3:00 PM on TeleRomagna channel 78; season tickets will not be valid). These two teams have made consistency their strength. “As I’ve said many times, a new championship begins, where everything is reset,” explains Consar coach Antonio Valentini. “Reaching the top four again is a testament to the work all the players have put in in the gym over the past few months. We’re approaching this moment with confidence, with an awareness of our abilities, and with the belief that we can have a good run.”
This sentiment is also echoed by assistant coach Saverio Di Lascio, who is making his third consecutive playoff appearance as coach of the Ravenna-based team. “We’re crowning a year’s worth of work, and reaching the playoffs after finishing in the top four once again should be a source of pride for the team and the club, which has never spared effort and commitment to keeping the club competitive at the highest levels.”
