After their Del Monte Super Cup triumph, following a never-ending playoff battle and their glorious conquest of the Del Monte Coppa Italia in Serie A3, Domotek Volley returns to the scene.
The playoff semifinals begin.
The Amaranth team of coach Polimeni, fresh from receiving the highest honor from the City of Reggio Calabria, San Giorgio D’Oro, are traveling to Valenza.
To advance to Serie A2, the Reggio team will have to defeat tough Acqui Terme and then prove themselves in a possible final against the winner of the series between San Giustino and Belluno Volley, the latter team already defeated by Domotek in the Coppa Italia Del Monte semifinals.
Game one is played away.
A best-of-two match with a Golden Set.
The match will kick off at 7:00 PM at the Palasport in Valenza (AL).
Game two is confirmed: May 1st at 8:00 PM at the Palacalafiore in Reggio Calabria.
The format is not the best of two out of three matches, but rather the Golden Set format. If the two teams are tied in the overall set count, an extra set with 15 points will be played.
Last season, Cte Negrini of Acqui Terme deservedly eliminated the Amaranto from the playoff semifinals.
Michal Petras is the star.
Watch out for the strong Botto, the middle blocker Esposito, and the explosive Argenta, under the guidance of Coach Serafini.
