Reggio Calabria is back to high-intensity volleyball, and it’s doing so with a team that never ceases to amaze. Domotek Volley is in the midst of its playoff run and will begin its new journey to Acqui Terme on April 25th.
Describing the spirit is technical director Billy Gurnari, a symbol of Reggio’s tradition at the net and vice-president of Fipav Calabria.
“People talk about a return to the good old days, but I say something different: these are the times. These are the times we’re living in now,” says Gurnari, “and fortunately, they’re new times.”
A present built also thanks to an increasingly engaged crowd. “I feel like thanking our fans infinitely. They’re following us everywhere, with incredible passion. On some away games, it almost felt like we were playing at home. We owe them so much, and we turn to them now, because after this success, we must immediately look forward.”
All eyes are already on the playoff semifinals, a crucial stage of the season. “We must give everything we have to continue this race. We truly hope it can have the outcome we all desire and for which we are working so hard.”
