Sabaudia landed Carrera

Viridex Sabaudia continues to invest in promising young players and has added Pietro Carrera, born in 2008, to its roster. Carrera, fresh from his experience in Serie A3 with Negrini CTE Acqui Terme and a U17 World Champion with the Italian national team, is considered one of the most exciting talents of his generation. After developing his skills with Imperia Volley, he was called up for a 2024 training camp with the U17 National Team and, a few months later, won the U17 World Championship in Bulgaria with the Italian national team. He subsequently moved to Acqui Terme, where he completed his integration process and earned a permanent promotion to the first team, gaining experience in the Serie A3 championship.
Now, he begins a new chapter in his career with Viridex Sabaudia, a club that continues to focus on a technical project geared towards developing young players and their growth within the competitive Serie A3 league.
“When I received the offer, I didn’t think twice because I saw the Sabaudia project as a great opportunity to challenge myself, demonstrate what I can offer, and continue to improve,” Carrera explains. “I’m convinced it’s the ideal environment for me to grow and do well.”
