The A3 Play Out and Del Monte® A3 Super Cup were the stars of the weekend just ended: on the courts where the divisional standings are being played—and were played—it was worth highlighting Marco Spagnol’s record-breaking performance, scoring 39 points in the match (lost in a tie-break) against Sav Trebaseleghe. The home team’s opposite hitter at Stadium Mirandola also put in a record-breaking performance. Andrea Galliani, the Modena team’s middle blocker, also scored better than ever, scoring 26 points.
For Andrea Carlevaris (Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano), his 100th appearance in the division coincided with the Piedmont team’s survival, achieved after a victory in Game 4 of the Play Out against Terni Volley Academy.
In the match that allowed Domotek Reggio Calabria to lift the Del Monte® Supercoppa A3 to the sky, the one who earned a good portion of the applause was Conad Reggio Emilia’s opposite hitter, Riccardo Mian, who scored 40 points over the course of the five sets played at the PalaBigi. The 1998-born athlete, in his third (non-consecutive) year in Emilia, has never performed so well.
