The winner of the bracket will qualify for the 2027 CEV Challenge Cup. Game 1 is scheduled for the BTS Arena in Trento: kick-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM. Live coverage on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on VBTV.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO The Italian Champions return to the court to open the series that guarantees a spot in the final of the bracket after a long period without competitive matches. They will do so with the return of Daniele Lavia, who over the last thirty-two days has completed his recovery from the abdominal injury that sidelined him for the last two matches of the series against Civitanova.
“We’re happy to return to play after more than four weeks of waiting to finally turn the page on the Scudetto playoffs and continue our pursuit of European qualification next season,” emphasized Itas Trentino coach Marcelo Mendez, introducing the event. “Trentino Volley is a club accustomed to competing on the international stage: we want to continue doing so, and to do so, we must win a draw where very strong opponents like Monza, Milano, and Modena are still in contention. For this reason, during these days without matches, we’ve trained with great commitment and intensity, with the goal of maintaining our pace and improving our physical and technical condition.”
Itas Trentino will therefore only be without Alessandro Michieletto, who continues to do individual training; His place will once again be taken by young Davide Boschini, a high-ball spiker for UniTrento Volley in Serie B, born in 2007. It will be the 1,134th official match in Trentino Volley’s history in the men’s sector, the 38th of the season, in which the yellow-blues will be chasing their 792nd overall win, their 24th of the 2025/26 season.
HUNT FOR A SPOT IN EUROPE The playoffs for 5th place offer qualification to the 2027 CEV Challenge Cup, which will be awarded to the winner of the final series. The bracket is divided into three rounds (quarterfinals, semifinals, and final), with series always played as best-of-three matches.
