Pineto Volley announces it has reached an agreement with Luis Vattovaz for the 2026/27 Serie A2 Credem Banca season. Born in Trieste in 1999, Vattovaz will complete the opposite hitter department and join Matheus Krauchuk on the roster led by Cezar Douglas Silva.
For Luis Vattovaz, this will be his second consecutive season in the cadet championship after last year’s stint with Virtus Aversa, where he reached triple figures (107 points) in 53 sets. His sporting career, which began in Trieste in 2020, also included two stints in Serie A3 with Monselice and Garlasco.
“When I received the call from Pineto,” says the new opposite hitter, “I had no doubts and immediately decided to embrace this cause. Over the years, I’ve played against Pineto several times, and each time I’ve always seen confirmation of a club that has ambitious goals and is working diligently to achieve them. Besides a beautiful arena, with a wonderful crowd, I also really like the area. I’m happy to be able to live near the sea again. I expect an environment where you can play good volleyball, close to the city and the fans, with the goal of having a great championship. The message I’m sending to the fans isn’t the usual “we’ll be waiting for you at the arena” because I know there’s no need for that. The fans in Pineto, as I saw last year, represent an incredible added value. So to the fans, I say: I can’t wait to sing ‘Gente di Mare’ with you.
