The usual medical check-ups and the first loads of work kicked off the 2023/24 athletic training of Cucine Lube Civitanova. The meeting opened in the morning with a small group of athletes for staff evaluations and got underway in the afternoon between the weight room and the playing field.
As per tradition, the technician Chicco Blengini and the athletic trainer Massimo Merazzi introduced the new course. The red and white coach underlined the priorities to maximize work in the two months that will precede the debut in SuperLega Credem Banca, scheduled for 22 October at home against Monza.
Chicco Blengini: “The important thing right now is to train systematically and methodically after the summer maintenance phase. The boys will have to pay close attention to two aspects in particular: it will be necessary to deal well with the initial step of the loads and prepare as best as possible in an attempt to never stop during the preseason because any muscle stops would make the desired escalation more difficult, furthermore the group must immediately get it into your head that, especially at the beginning, it will be essential to suffer in order to progress. Having the young people of the Academy available will count a lot for our work. There are training sessions with the ball from the first day, but to begin with we will focus on individual technique and exercises for the departments. The jumping phase will instead be introduced gradually.
