Verona Volley is happy to announce the entry into the first team of Marco Valbusa, a middle blocker born in 2005, who grew up in the Verona Youth Sector.

Born in Verona, after completing his career in the Club’s youth system, Valbusa spent the last two seasons on loan at ArredoPark Dual Caselle, where he gained experience in the national Serie B championship. The young athlete has also already worn the blue jersey with the youth selections of the Italian National Team, in particular participating in the European Under 20 championships in the summer of 2024. The call-up to the Under 21 team to prepare for the upcoming summer commitments is fresh. The arrival in the first team represents a significant milestone for Valbusa, which thus crowns a path of constant growth within the Club.

Marco Valbusa said: “Wearing the Rana Verona jersey in the SuperLega is a dream come true. I have worked hard in these years to be ready, and being part of the team of my city is an immense pride. I thank the company for the trust and all the coaches who have accompanied me on this path. Now I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”

Stefano Fanini, President of Verona Volley, commented: “We are very proud to welcome Marco to the first team, because he also best represents the activity we are developing with our Youth Sector. Seeing him take this step with us is a great satisfaction for the entire company and an incentive for all our young people who can aspire to follow his path.
