After several seasons as an opponent, most recently in Ravenna, middle blocker from Cremona Riccardo Copelli arrives at coach Battocchio’s court. After the announcement of Stefanović and the confirmation of Codarin, Cuneo will face the Superleague with a well-equipped central department, to be as variable as possible in view of difficult matches and where having several high-level cartridges will be essential.
« Playing for Cuneo is the dream of many players, one of the most historic cities on the national scene, which in recent years has always been at the top of Serie A2 and regardless of the category, the desire to experience the arena with the white and blue jersey and be part of this project was my goal. There is a sense of honor, but also of responsibility in this choice, towards the city and the jersey, with the desire to write a piece of history together» – these are Riccardo’s first words as a Cuneo Volley player.
Do you have a personal goal for next season?
« Talking about personal goals in a team sport like volleyball is always a bit complicated. I will certainly try to make myself known for my professionalism, always trying to give my maximum contribution to the cause. I had been “craving” for a while to return to the Superleague with more baggage than the first time I played it, now I will do my best to carve out space for myself and have important opportunities to show that I can play it, that I can be there”.
