A new international showcase for Sir Safety Perugia!
The club of the reigning European champions continues to expand its reach overseas: Expo 2025 is in full swing in Osaka, Japan. The universal exposition will run until October 13, 2025, and is attracting global attention, with the participation of approximately 150 countries and an estimated 28 million visitors. Sir’s Japanese spiker has been chosen as Ambassador of the Italian Pavilion, a nomination that particularly honors the Club of President Gino Sirci, who, in just over two months, will depart for Japan for a promotional tour that will culminate in a double friendly match against the Suntory Sunbirds, scheduled for October 7 and 8 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo.
Ambassador Mario Vattani, General Commissioner for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, expressed his great pride in having the Juventus champion as an Ambassador, also emphasizing the values, beyond just sporting, of volleyball:
“I am honored that Yuki Ishikawa, a Serie A player in the Italian Professional Volleyball League, has accepted our invitation to serve as Italy’s Ambassador at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai. Sport is an extraordinary means of communicating respect, friendship, and promoting the health of our young people, concepts that embody the spirit of Expo and the Italian Pavilion.”
