Ready for a new season to be a key part of! After yesterday’s training camp, the Block Devils officially resumed preparations today for this year’s fixtures, where they will compete in all competitions, aiming to be, once again, “final hunters.”
The program developed by the Juventus coaching staff began immediately with two training sessions: this morning, the boys worked in the weight room under the guidance of athletic trainer Sebastian Carotti, while in the afternoon they trained with the ball on the taraflex at PalaBarton Energy.
There are eight Block Devils in this first phase, but, like every year, the players who are currently playing for their respective national teams are missing: captain Simone Giannelli, along with Roberto Russo, have been called up to Cervia, Emilia Romagna, for a training camp with the Italian national team in preparation for the World Championships scheduled for September 12-28 in the Philippines. Also preparing for the World Cup are the three Sir Perugia players playing for their respective national teams: Kamil Semeniuk with Poland, Agustin Loser with Argentina, and Yuki Ishikawa with Japan. Also absent with justification is Sir Safety Perugia’s new opposite hitter, Gabrijel Cvanciger, who today, Wednesday, August 13th, plays his final European Championship qualifying match with the Croatian national team and will arrive in Pian di Massiano this weekend.
