This afternoon at the PalaPrata in Prata di Pordenone, in front of approximately four hundred spectators, Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza was defeated 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 27-25, 25-19) by the ambitious Tinet Prata of Pordenone, a Serie A2 team, in their fourth joint training session of the season.
After winning the first set, the red and whites gradually adjusted to their opponents’ play. In the third set, they were up by as much as six points, but then lost the set in deuce. The red and whites missed twenty-six serves, and they also struggled on the serve. Leon finished in double figures with 14 points and Gutierrez with 10.
The team now heads to the Jesi tournament next Saturday and Sunday: in the semifinals, they will face Grottazzolina on Saturday at 5:30 pm.
