Sir Susa Scai Perugia was the first team of the evening to qualify for the Credem Banca Playoff Semifinals: the Regular Season winners defeated Vero Volley Monza in three sets at PalaBartonEnergy, thus advancing to the Semifinals, where they will face either Valsa Group Modena or Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza. Among the home team’s standouts was Sir Oleh Plotnytskyi, who scored 13 points, the same number as Wassim Ben Tara. Erik Rohrs (15) and Diego Frascio (11) stood out for Vero Volley. The doors now open for the Brianza team to the 5th Place Playoffs, where they will face Sonepar Padova in the Quarterfinals.

Cucine Lube Civitanova also secured a second away win of the series and a pass to the Semifinals, winning 3-1 against the Dolomitic team at the BTS Arena, home of Itas Trentino, to advance to the next round. The hosts, who had successfully leveled the set count after the cooks’ initial lead, were unable to withstand the onslaught of the Marche team, falling in the fourth set on deuce. Without Michieletto and Lavia, the team’s leaders were Alessandro Bristot (17), Theo Faure, and Jordi Ramon (both 15). Among the cooks, the MVP award went to Aleksandar Nikolov (25 points); Eric Loeppky (13), Mattia Bottolo (16), and Giovanni Maria Gargiulo (10) also scored in double figures. Lube now awaits its opponent in the semifinals, while Trento—placed in the 5th Place Playoff bracket—awaits the other results from the quarterfinals to determine when to begin its journey.

The series between Rana Verona and Allianz Milano reopens: the Scaligeri, two sets down, were enjoying a new feat after Sunday’s, but in the tie-break it was Tatsunori Otsuka’s serve (17 points in total) that made the difference, opening a gap between the two teams and giving the Milanese a five-set victory. Verona, leading 2-1 in the series, will now have to win at the Allianz Cloud to secure a place in the Semifinals. Milan, on the other hand, believes in the possibility of extending the series further. At the Pala Agsm AIM, Rok Mozic’s 16 points and Noumory Keita’s 29 weren’t enough; on the other side of the net, Ferre Reggers (24), Nemanja Masulovic (14), Tommaso Ichino (16) and the aforementioned Otsuka responded. Game 4 is scheduled for 8:30 PM on Saturday, March 21, with live coverage on Dazn and VBTV.
