Over a thousand students from Piacenza schools, accompanied by their teachers, flocked to Piazza Cavalli this morning. The event marked the closing event of the Campagna Amica Education project “The Mediterranean Diet, an expression of taste and health,” promoted by Coldiretti Emilia-Romagna and Coldiretti Piacenza, Donne Coldiretti, and Coldidattica, in collaboration with numerous institutional partners and the Piacenza Land Reclamation Consortium.
Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza had a stand in Piazza Cavalli where Filippo Pugnalini, youth team coach and first-team scout, and Tommaso De Santis and Gianfranco Tragni, youth team players, welcomed the young students, who were intrigued by the volleyball court set up for the occasion, where they demonstrated their skill at dribbling and spiking. Alice Mandrini from the Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza Marketing Office was present, and several freebies were offered to the students.
A grand celebration in the heart of Piacenza centered on healthy food, sustainability, and the agricultural culture of our region—all highly topical themes, including those of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza. For one morning, the square was transformed into a large open-air workshop thanks to the many activities offered by the stands of the partners of the “Educazione alla Campagna Amica” (Education to the Friendly Countryside) project, which annually finds fertile ground in Piacenza schools, where Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza is also present with its “Progetto Scuola” (School Project).
During the year, the “Educazione alla Campagna Amica” (Education to the Friendly Countryside) project involved more than two thousand students and mobilized an entire province around nutrition issues. The activities, which began in January, led students to explore concrete, everyday issues: from food quality to environmental protection, from knowledge of local produce to the history of Piacenza’s excellent agricultural products.
The experience gained during the year was also translated into creative works produced by the students, works that were awarded prizes by the civil and military authorities present.
Special guest was comedian Fabrizio Fontana, known to the public for his character Captain Ventosa. Radio Sound, artists from Tadam, and the Bacaclà play center enlivened the morning.
Filippo Pugnalini: “Seeing so many children and young people fill Piazza Cavalli is truly wonderful. Seeing them joyfully playing, as well as being interested in what each stand displayed, makes you realize how important these days are for socializing, team building, building unity, and learning.”
