A change has been made to the coaching staff of New Mater Volley Castellana Grotte ahead of the upcoming Credem Banca men’s national A3 series volleyball championship. Coach Giuseppe Barbone will no longer have Francesco Valente, who has moved to Cerignola after two years with the yellow-blues: Marco Paglialunga has been appointed as the new assistant coach.
A Puglian coach born in 1973 in Gioia del Colle, formerly of Sammichele (Serie D), with significant experience in the youth sectors of Gioia clubs, and a past as a setter in Serie A2 with his hometown club in the 1992/1993 season (a year in which he was also a teammate of Barbone and De Mori), Paglialunga will be in his first year at Castellana Grotte.
