In the last regular season match Itas Diatec Trentino loses 3-0 against Verona.
Lattari starting six is: Della Lunga and Savani spikers, middleblokcers Heller and Kooistra, Meoni setter and Nascimento opposite and Trimarchi libero. Marmi Lanza starts with Nuti setter, Gato opposite, Granvorka and Bartman spikers, Howard and Semenzato middleblockers, and as libero Sorcinelli.
One minute of silence for little Tommaso Onofri before the beginning of the match.
Good start for Trento ahead 7-14 but Verona reaction is just around the corner especially thanks to Gato and Granvorka and flies to 22-20. Fight point to point until the end but it is Verona that close the set for 25-23
In the second set it is Verona to go ahead 9-6. It is especially Granvorka and all Verona serves that makes the difference and allow Verona to go ahead up to 21-17. The sets is now clearly in Verona hands who close it for 25-19.
The third set seems like the photocopy of the second with Trento trying to keep fighting and with Verona always mastering with the serves. At the end Verona closes set and match 25-20.
Gato is nominated MVP of the match.
Now Trento will meet Modena in the play off.
