The volleyball transfer window has come down, but for Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, it’s only the first whistle. The new team is ready, built piece by piece with a clear goal: to immediately regain its leading role in Serie A2 and rekindle the enthusiasm that in recent years has transformed a small town into one of the most beautiful fairytales of Italian volleyball.
Ten new faces, three confirmed pillars, and a homegrown youngster ready to take flight. This is the picture of Yuasa as they prepare for the 2026-2027 season, following the conclusion of the transfer window held at the Zanhotel Centergross in Bologna, a traditional event organized by the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, where the championship schedule will also be revealed tomorrow.
President Rossano Romiti expressed satisfaction, looking back on the work accomplished with the pride of someone who knows he has kept every promise. We know we’ve built a competitive roster, and we’re pleased because we’ve achieved all our transfer objectives. The club has made a significant effort both to bring new players to Grottazzolina and to retain key players. Now we want to rekindle the excitement after our relegation from the Superleague and continue to unite an entire region through volleyball. The foundations for success are all there, but we’ll need the support of every member of our team.
