Itas Diatec Trentino surrenders to Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo only at the 5th set, and close its own season. A bitter result for the team coached by Lattari that was not able to repeat the great tiebreak played in game 3 in the first match of the series.
In fact, the 15th set played by the two teams, did not give to Meoni and teammates a good result. But the applauses are for both teams as the crowd present in Cuneo confirmed. A great night of sport with unfortunately a bad result for Itas Diatec Trentino.
But this series will remain as one of the best things showed by Trento during this season. Trento shows once again great attitude, especially when Cuneo was ahead 2-1.
There is still a little regret for the first set lost at the very end, also because Trento did have few chances to go ahead 1-0. After losing the first set the match was hard and the result difficult to recover, despite the victory of the second set. Trento had some problems with the blokcs (6 in five sets) and in attack (50% for the whole team).
Among Itas Diatec Trentino, great match for Michal Winiarski. The polish players has been great especially in the crucail moments of the match with great percentages for him. Passing: 71%; attack: 62%. Good match also for Hübner (6 blocks) and Gallotta that closed with 45% in attack and 83% in passing.
