Loreto grabbed two points and its 11th victory of the season in Catania. That meant Loreto finished 4th at the halfway point of the Championship and will therefore meet Gioia del Colle in the Cup quarter finals (14th and 21st of January).
“The final results could have been different – explained Marchiani – but our opponent did well to come back in it. It took us too long to adapt with Zanette as outside hitter in the third even though it went well in the fifth and we obtained an important victory”.
“The year 2008 finished well even though we’re a bit disappointed not to have taken all the points – added Cricca – In the next month, we’ll have Gioia del Colle as our main opponent, as we’ll face them three times in just a few weeks. It will be very exciting, hopefully we’ll do better than last year, when we had faced Isernia”.
