Loreto made its first move to build its roster for the 2009-10 season. It signed Kay van Dijk, an outside hitter from the Netherland. Born in 1984, he is currently involved in the World League with his national team.
After a difficult season in South Korea with LIG Greaters, Kay decided to come back to Europe. Before moving to Asia, Kay spent three seasons in the Belgium league with Noliko Maaseik. He won the league title in 2008 and went to the Cev cup final the same year, losing out to Roma 3-0. Despite his relatively young age Kay already has a lot of experience at International level.
