Yoga Forlì – Prisma Taranto

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 9 (5-4 Taranto)

Taranto: None

Manuel Coscione (Yoga Forlì): “Taranto, Pineto, Latina and Loreto are the next four games out of which we’ll need to take points to stay up”.

Andreoli Latina – Trenkwalder Modena

PAST ENCOUNTER: 15 (9-6 Modena)

Goran Vujevic (Andreoli Latina): “We grabbed three valuable points in Taranto. We’ll try to beat Modena: we still haven’t registered a win against a big team and we’ll do everything possible to make it this time. We don’t fear anyone and we’ll face Modena with the same weapon as against Taranto. But we can only win it with the right attitude and fighting spirit in attack”.

Giampaolo Medei (Andreoli Latina): “We still have to focus mainly on ourselves and less on the opponents. Modena is an excellent squad. Our aim is to snatch something out of it. We’ll be able to do so only if we play with the right attitude and as a unit”.

Silvano Prandi (Trenkwalder Modena): “It will be extremely tough in Latina. We’ll try to be consistent but we know we’ll be facing a quality team, which will be full of confidence following its great win in Taranto. We will give it our best shot like we always do, we really want the win”.

Lube Banca Marche Macerata – RPA-LuigiBacchi.it Perugia

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 17 (15-2 Macerata)

Ferdinando De Giorgi (Lube Banca Marche Macerata): “Perugia is a strong team and we’ll focus on them, even if the tour de force that we’re facing does not allow us to prepare it as much as we would like. We’ll try to train as much as we can, keeping in mind that we are in the Christmas period. We have surely gained further confidence thanks to the victory against Pineto”.

Stefan Hubner (RPA-LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): “We always want to win, every time we get on court. The game against Macerata will be no exception. We have to get in the gym and work during the few days we have at our disposal. The best way to put an end to this negative spell is to get on court with the right spirit”.

Marmi Lanza Verona – Esse-ti Carilo Loreto

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 10 (6-4 Verona)

Maurizio Latelli (Marmi Lanza Verona): “We have to find the points to stay up at home before thinking of the rest. It will be an  extremely tough game, they need points to stay up but we’re playing at home, we want to win, and take revenge and our defeat in our first encounter this season”.

Luca Moretti (Esse-ti Carilo Loreto): “We will surely have to make do without Visentin, who will most probably be disqualified against Piacenza. I’m not too confident, we’ll see what happens”.

Acqua Paradiso Monza – Itas Diatec Trentino

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 1 (Trento)

Mauro Berruto (Acqua Paradiso Monza): “Sunday’s game will be the first of three extremely tough ones for us. We’ll face the top two: first Trento and then Cuneo twice in a row. Technically speaking, our performance at the net and in dig, which have become our two main strengths, will be crucial. I believe these two fundamentals are the ones needed to face Trentino, which offensive potential is second to none. Besides, it would be very nice to see the gym starting to be filled this Sunday. I don’t think there can be any better match than the World champions coming home”.

Andrea Bari (Itas Diatec Trentino): “The game against Monza will surely be different than the one played against Vibo Valentia on Tuesday. We’ll have a few more days to prepare it so hopefully we’ll step up a level technically. It would be nice to win because Monza made it very hard for many opponents at home”.

CoprAtlantide Piacenza – Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 28 (18-10 Cuneo)

Angelo Lorenzetti (CoprAtlantide Piacenza): “We are certainly not playing our best volleyball right now, hopefully we’ll get back to our real level very soon because the next opponent is Cuneo, who is undeniably in great form”.

Nikola Grbic (Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “It will be important to have Wijmans back against Piacenza. We’ll have to be extremely cautious, the captain could play a big part, be that in attack and on the serve. We obtained good wins without him as well but his presence is useful in certain difficult situations, which we could well face against Piacenza”.

Sisley Treviso – Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 12 (11-1 Treviso)

Gabriele Maruotti (Sisley Treviso): “We’re hoping to have Fei back: our aim is to maintain a

good level of play, the kind we performed tonight. We’ll try to take as many points as possible on Sunday, especially considering the fact that we’re playing at home”.

Francesco Prestinenzi (Direttore Sportivo Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia): “It will be a very tough game, Treviso is an excellent team with a mix of experienced (Ricardo, Fei and Papi) and young players (Horstink, De Togni and Maruotti), a team put together this summer to get back on track following some disappointing seasons. We always try to play at our best to make life difficult for our opponents, taking advantage of all the opportunities that come our way. It will be important not to be suffer too much in reception, so that we can play a good game without stressing out. I’m sure the boys exactly know what kind of game they’re facing. I’m certain as well that they are up for it, that they will fight as much as they can, as they have done in the past”.
