Gioia is getting ready for its last home game before the start of the playoffs, which will kick off on the 15th of April. With two games to play for, Gioia del Colle is already certain to be amongst the last 8 to fight for a place in the A1. Gioia will need as many points as possible to keep its main followers at a safe distance. Most threatening of all is Isernia who’s chasing Gioia’s fifth place. The team is showing improvements now that months of injuries seem to be over.
“The A1 is a dream that can come true – said coach Cannestracci – From the 5th round onwards, my team played face to face with everyone. For us the playoffs are not a target reached but the beginning of something new. We can achieve something that was not considered possible at the beginning of the season. However, maintain our focus will be key and we need to be as composed and efficient as we used to”.
