There are no excuses for Loreto’s poor performance against Santa Croce in the last round. Loreto were only competitive in the first set before disappearing from the game.
“It already happened in the past – said Gm Paolo Politi – We played face to face in the first set before fading in the following two sets, we didn’t manage to express our game. Nobody had the capacity to get out of this situation. Our serve was probably not very incisive, we’ve never really made it dificult for our opponent, who could set their play at will. Most importantly, we were not present at the net, which is usually our main strength. Now we have to get down to work and hopefully on Sunday (against Santa Croce), things will go differently”.
