Padova had a taste of what is to come in the league. Indeed, just a week before the beginning of the regular season (in Cavriago), Montagnani’s team played a friendly in its PalaFabris against Gela, a team that will play in the same division. The hosts won it 4-0 with Uchikov as the inspirational man (21 points).
“I am happy with the performance of the boys – said coach Montagnani – Especially with Nikolay and Yu. The latter had an excellent game although in the fourth set he was a bit tired”.
