Roma remained unbeaten at home thanks to a 3-1 victory over Forli. The hosts were still without Mirko Corsano, who was sitting on the bench as he recovers, while Molducci had Boloventa back but had to make do without Kovacevic from the second set. Before the game, Ivan Zaytsev was handed the “Badiali Award” as the best Under 23 player of last season.
Toni Kovacevic (Yoga Forlì): “We knew it was going to be a tough game, but we did not expect such a strong Roma team. We had studied our opponents well but certain things we saw on court surprised us. Pey has been superb. Cisolla was excellent too”.
Raydel Poey (M. Roma Volley): “We still have so much work to do to improve. In the second set, we had a black out which should not happen. This could have changed the game in their favour. But we did a good job of getting back in it and win this important encounter”.
