Roma had not won away for a long time but when it mattered most, it won in Bologna. However, it was pegged back after building a 2-0 lead and risked going home with a defeat. Bologna had the better start in the tie-break but Roma stayed in the game. Then came a series of match points for both teams. The final delivery came from Portuondo as Postiglioni was on the serve.
