GM Alberico Vitullo managed to put very dangerous spikers together for 2011-12 with the latest signing of Lorenzo Gemmi. Lollo, as his friends call him, had already met Vitullo in Isernia when he was the sport director there. Born in 1985, Gemmi came up in Macerata’s youth ranks, he entered the first team there in which he stayed for two seasons before gaining experience in the A2 with Spoleto and Isernia.
“This is a great satisfaction for me to be able to wear the Sora shirt – said Gemmi – This is a great challenge for me. I can see Vitullo is putting together a team that could be in the top positions”.
